Basic Working Conditions. When working on the Products or their component parts, Supplier may not (1) use forced labor, regardless of its form, (2) employ any person below the age of 15 unless it is part of a government-approved job training, apprenticeship, or other program that would be clearly beneficial to its participants, or (3) engage in physically abusive disciplinary practices. Supplier will use only subcontractors that will adhere to the requirements of this Section 19.4 and will monitor its subcontractors’ compliance with these requirements.
Basic Working Conditions. Employees shall be provided basic working conditions. These conditions shall include but not be limited to the following:
1. All teachers who serve as sponsors for extra-curricular activities shall do so on a voluntary basis.
2. Teachers shall have a free and convenient parking area. Cars of parents and/or students shall not be permitted in this area.
3. Teachers shall not be required to use their personal automobiles for transportation of students.
4. The Board agrees that all professional employees shall be admitted free of charge of all county school athletic events.
5. Teachers shall not be required to serve food.
6. Teachers shall not be required to provide medical care.
7. Teachers shall not be required to perform custodial services and a clean working area/environment shall be provided.
8. Teachers shall not be required to conduct class in areas where there is prior knowledge of little or no water or heat.
Basic Working Conditions. Seller commits that any material violation of law relating to basic working conditions and human rights, including laws regarding slavery and human trafficking, applicable to Seller’s performance under this Purchase Order may be considered a material breach of this Purchase Order for which Buyer may elect to cancel any open orders between Buyer and Seller, for cause, in accordance with the Purchase Order.
Basic Working Conditions. Seller represents that neither it nor any of its subcontractors, suppliers, agents or other third parties will not (a) utilize child, slave, prisoner or any other form of forced or involuntary labor, regardless of its form; (b) employ any person below the age of 15, unless it is part of a government approved job training, apprenticeship or other program that would be clearly beneficial to its participants; or (c) engage in physically abusive disciplinary practices. Seller further represents when it delivers the Supplies that it has complied with the requirements of this Section. Buyer may retain an independent third party, or request Seller to retain one reasonably acceptable to Buyer, to: (a) audit the Seller’s compliance with this Section; and (b) provide Seller and Buyer with written certification of Seller’s compliance, including areas for potential improvement. Seller will bear the cost of any third-party audit and certification under this Section, regardless of which party retained the auditor. Buyer, at its option, may accept an audit or certification by Seller in lieu of a third-party certification. For purposes of this Section, the temporary assignment of employees of one party to the facilities operated by the other party will not affect the status or change the employment relationship of the assigned employees.
