Common use of Basic Life Clause in Contracts

Basic Life. If a teacher is not actively at work on the initial effective date of coverage, coverage will be effective on the first day of the teacher’s return to work. The effective date of a change in coverage is not delayed in the event that, on the date the coverage change would be effective, a teacher is on an unpaid leave of absence or layoff.

Basic Life. If a teacher is not actively at work on the initial effective date of coverage, 7 coverage will be effective on the first day of the teacher’s return to work. The 8 effective date of a change in coverage is not delayed in the event that, on the date 9 the coverage change would be effective, a teacher is on an unpaid leave of absence 10 or layoff.

Basic Life. If a teacher is not actively at work on the initial effective date of coverage, 24 coverage will be effective on the first day of the teacher’s return to work. The effective 25 date of a change in coverage is not delayed in the event that, on the date the coverage 26 change would be effective, a teacher is on an unpaid leave of absence or layoff.
