Basic Construction Services. 1. The CONSULTANT will arrange a pre-work conference for the contractor, the TRUST, and all other interested parties. 2. The CONSULTANT will provide general on-site observation of the PROJECT. This on- site observation shall consist of making visits to the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of construction to observe the progress and quality of the executed work and to determine, in general, if the work is proceeding in accordance with the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. Upon completion of any and all contracts, the CONSULTANT will certify that completed work reasonably complies with the Contract Documents. 5. The CONSULTANT will endeavor to guard the TRUST against defects and deficiencies in the work of the contractors, but the CONSULTANT does not guarantee contractors' performance under their contracts, nor assume any duty to supervise the safety procedures followed by any contractor or subcontractor or their respective employees or by any other personnel at the job site. 6. The CONSULTANT will consult and advise the TRUST, and issue all instructions to the contractor(s) as requested by the TRUST, but will not be responsible for the construction means, methods, sequences, or safety practices of the contractor, or any of the contractor's subcontractors, or any of the contractor's or subcontractor's agents or employees, or any other person performing any of the work under the construction contract, but shall oversee the proper execution of the construction contract according to the approved plans and specifications.
