Bargaining Unit Member Appointment. There shall be three categories of appointment applicable to Bargaining Unit Members: 1) initial appointment with tenure, 2) tenure track appointment, and 3) non-tenure track appointment. The appointment of Bargaining Unit Members to these categories shall be at the sole discretion of the university and not subject to grievance. Tenure denotes the status of holding a nine month appointment on a continuing basis and shall be renewed annually unless terminated as provided by the terms of this Agreement.
