Awareness Phase Sample Clauses

Awareness Phase. A. The administrator or the teacher identifies a concern in writing. B. The administrator and the teacher set up a specific time to collaborate and attempt to resolve the concern. C. At the conclusion of the Awareness Phase, the administrator will review the progress and will make one of the following recommendations: 1. The teacher continues with their Professional Growth. 2. In the event the concern is not resolved or is a disciplinary issue, the teacher is placed into either the Assistance Phase or the Disciplinary Phase.
Awareness Phase. In the Awareness Phase, the administrator identifies a problem relating to the Teaching Standards that is characteristic of a teacher’s performance rather than an anomaly. The administrator should contact the staff member in writing, make him/her aware of the problem, collaboratively develop the means to resolve the problem, and schedule a time (not to exceed six weeks) to discuss resolution. If no agreement is reached on the means to resolve the problem(s), the staff member will be placed in the Assistance Phase. At the following recommendations:  The problem is resolved and the staff member is removed from the awareness phase and continues to work within Career Teacher Expectations.  In the event the problem is not resolved, the staff member is notified in writing and placed into the assistance phase.
