Average Class Size for Continuing Education. The budget for Continuing Education, including Partnership For Excellence Funds, which will determine Average Class Size (ACS) will be deliberated by the Board of Trustees during public session and provide for the comments/input of AFT before a final decision is made by the Board. The process for determining the allocation of funds within Continuing Education and communicating of class size shall be accomplished through a shared governance process.

7.14.1. Only full-time tenured faculty are eligible.
7.14.2. Unit members may bank a maximum of .40 FTEF per semester.
7.14.3. Unit members may reduce their load to the maximum of 1.0 FTEF in a semester only once every five (5) years. Overload assignments will not be allowed during the semester which the unit member is reducing her/his load.
7.14.4. Only summer, intersession, and overload assignments may be used to accumulate banking credit.
7.14.5. Any unused banked overload will be paid off at the current overload rate at the time of retirement or separation from District employment or at the request of the faculty member.
