Common use of Authority Requirements Clause in Contracts

Authority Requirements. The Contractor must: perform the Contractor's Activities so that the Contractor's Activities at all times and the Works (on Completion) comply with the: National Construction Code except to the extent otherwise specified in the Contract Particulars or notified in writing to the Contractor by the Contract Administrator; Statutory Requirements; and other requirements set out in the Contract Particulars or notified in writing to the Contractor by the Contract Administrator; apply for all Approvals, give all notices and pay all fees necessary to perform its Contract obligations; and give the Principal copies of all relevant Approvals. If the requirements with which the Contractor must comply under this clause 7.3 change after the Award Date, the Contractor must give written notice to the Contract Administrator seeking instructions. Any instruction issued by the Contract Administrator that requires the Contractor to do more work than could reasonably have been anticipated at the Award Date will, subject to the Contractor complying with clause 12, entitle the Contractor to payment for the extra work as a Variation.
