Common use of ATTORNEY'S FEES AND HOMESTEAD Clause in Contracts

ATTORNEY'S FEES AND HOMESTEAD. If any Rent or other debt owing by Tenant to Landlord hereunder is collected by or through an attorney-at-law, Tenant agrees to pay an additional amount equal to fifteen percent (15%) of such sum as attorneys' fees. If Landlord uses the services of any attorney in order to secure compliance with any other provisions of this Lease, to recover damages for any breach or default of any other provisions of this Lease, or to terminate this Lease or evict Tenant, Tenant shall reimburse Landlord upon demand for any and all attorneys' fees and expenses so incurred by Landlord. Tenant waives all homestead rights and exemptions which it may have under any law against any obligation owing under this Lease, and assigns to Landlord its homestead and exemptions to the extent necessary to secure payment and performance of its covenants and agreements hereunder.
