Common use of Assignment Outside Regular Hours Clause in Contracts

Assignment Outside Regular Hours. In assigning work for swing shift, the employer will first ask for volunteers; if enough people do not volunteer, the employer will assign people in inverse seniority order. If a significant hardship is created by assigning an employee to swing shift, the employer will review and verify the circumstances with the Union and where appropriate, the employer will pass over this employee and assign the next least senior employee.
