Common use of Assignment by City Clause in Contracts

Assignment by City. If City sells or otherwise transfers the Premises, or if City assigns it interest in this Lease, such purchaser, transferee, or assignee there shall be deemed to have assumed City’s obligations under this Lease arising after the date of such transfer, and City shall thereupon be relieved of all liabilities under this Lease arising thereafter, but this Lease shall otherwise remain in full force and effect. Lessee shall attorn to City’s successor.
