ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. The company agrees to provide during the term of this Agreement holiday entitlement as set out hereto. Employees in the active employ of the Company who have completed three (3) months continuous employment with the Company shall receive pay for the following holidays: New Year’s Day Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Thanksgiving Day Labour Day Employee’s Birthday Christmas Day Employee’s Anniversary of Boxing Day employment with the Hotel A floating holiday will be granted annually to all eligible full-time regular employees who have completed one (1) or more years of continuous service. The date upon which an individual employee observe the floating holiday shall be agreed between the Company and the employee, but in any event be observed between January and February of each year. Should Heritage Day be declared and become a designated holiday under the Employment Standards Act of the Province of Ontario, the floating holiday then be deleted from the provisions of this Collective Agreement and Heritage Day substituted therefor. If a holiday falls within an employee’s vacation period, the Company shall grant either an extra day’s vacation at a time convenient to the Company or pay for the holiday as provided herein.

ARTICLE HOLIDAYS. The company agrees Health Centre recognizes the following as designated paid holidays. New Year's Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Victoria Day Christmas Day Canada Day Boxing Day Civic Holiday (1st Monday August) And any other day proclaimed as a stat holiday When any of the above noted holidays fall on a Saturdayor Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed on some other day, the following Monday Tuesday and/or the preceding Friday shall be deemed to provide during be holidays for the term purpose of this Agreement holiday entitlement as set out hereto. Employees in at the active employ discretion of the Company Health Centre. In addition to the above designated paid holidays the Health Centre will provide each full- time employee who have has completed her probation, with three (3) months continuous employment non-premium floating holidays once in each calendar year, at a time mutually agreeable to the Centre and the employee. In the event mutual agreement cannot be reached, the employee shall be allowed to take the floating with her scheduled vacation. A part-time employee who transfers to a full-time position during the Company course of a calendar year, or a new full-time employee hired during the of a calendar year, shall have her float days pro-rated according to the effective date of her transfer. In order to qualifyfor payment for each designated holiday, an employee must work her normally scheduled shift both immediatelypreceding and immediately following the holiday, unless absence on either or both of the said qualifying days is with reasonable cause. When any of the above mentioned designated holidays fall on or are observed on an employee's regularly scheduled day off, she will receive an additional day off in lieu with pay at a time mutually convenient to the employee and the Health Centre. In the event that mutual agreement cannot be reached, the employee may take the day off in conjunction with her vacation period. Absence due to illness will be considered as having been on duty, providing upon request of the Company the employee concerned obtains proof of illness from a doctor. Also, an employee on leave of absence approved by the Company shall be deemed to have qualified. Each employee who qualifies per the requirements i n this Article shall receive his regular basic hourly rate of pay and, if qualified pursuant for the statutory holidays as agreed to in this Agreement without having to work on such a holiday. If the Government of Canada proclaims "Heritage Cay" as a statutory holiday the Company will add this day to of this Article to be observed on the Heritage subsequent to the foregoingproclamation, shall receive holiday pay in addition thereto.
