Common use of ARTICLE CHECK OFF Clause in Contracts

ARTICLE CHECK OFF. The Hospital will deduct from every union member of the Bargaining Unit, who has completed the probationary period, an amount equivalent to such dues which are uniformly levied upon all members in accordance with the by-laws of the Union. The amount so deducted will be remitted by the Hospital to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Union at Street, Toronto, before the fifteenth (15th) day of the month following the month in which such deductions were made. In consideration of the deducting and forwarding of union dues by the Hospital, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Hospital against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this article.
