ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS. Article 1 of the Agreement is amended to (a) delete the defined terms “Cause” and “Separation Package Period” in their entirety and (b) to restate the definition of the defined term “Term” to read as follows:
ARTICLE 1 - DEFINITIONS. Where a noun, pronoun, or adjective indicating gender or sex is used, the other gender or sex shall be deemed to be included. Act Designates the University of Guelph Act, S.O. 1964 and subsequent amendments. Collective Agreement Is this Collective Agreement negotiated between and ratified by the University and the Union. Bargaining Unit Shall be those Members defined in Article 3 hereinafter denoted OSSTF/XXXX. Continuing Limited- Term (CLT) A Member who is regularly scheduled on an ongoing basis to work 35, 37.5 or 40 hours per week, less than twelve (12) months per year. These Members work for a set period each year, for example, April to November or September to April. Continuous Service Is the total service the Member has since starting employment at the University less leave of absence(s) without pay greater than thirty (30) days Day Means a working day for the individual concerned unless otherwise specifically stipulated. In the case of grievance administration, “day” means a working day in the University’s Human Resources Directorate. Designate An individual authorized to act on the behalf of an officer of the University, or an individual named to represent a Member, group of Members or the Union. Grievance A complaint with respect to the application, interpretation, administration or alleged violation of this Collective Agreement. Grievance Officer The duly elected Members to represent Members with any labour related issues as defined in the OSSTF/XXXX Constitution and Bylaws. Internally Is understood to mean within the Bargaining Unit. Member Shall mean any employee of the University that is represented by OSSTF/XXXX as per Article 3. OSSTF Is Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation/Federation des Enseignantes-enseignants des Ecoles Secondaires de L’Ontario (OSSTF/FEESO). Part-Time A Member who is regularly scheduled to work up to but not over twelve hundred and fifty (1250) hours per year. Parties To this Collective Agreement are the University and the Union. Probationary Member Shall mean a Member that is in their probationary period. Regional Representatives Are elected Members as per the OSSTF/XXXX Constitution and Bylaws. Regular Full-Time (RFT) A Member who is regularly scheduled to work between 1820 and 2080 hours per year. Salary Is the annual gross wages paid to a Member excluding overtime payments and other supplementary payments.
