Approved Professional Development. A list of approved professional development opportunities will be created through collaboration between the District and Union and will be made available to staff electronically. An ESP who wishes to participate in professional development that is not on the list of District approved opportunities, must submit a description of the training for potential approval to their supervisor. The request must include a statement describing how the opportunity aligns with their assigned job duties, the district’s strategic initiatives, or their professional goal established in collaboration with their supervisor for that school year. Human Resources reserves the right to deny any request that does not align with the ESP’s assignment, goals, the district’s strategic initiatives, or was not preapproved by the ESPs supervisor.
