Appropriate Vacancy. An appropriate vacancy is the next available position for which the employee is interested and fully qualified and which has the same or less promotion potential as the one for which proper consideration was not given.

Appropriate Vacancy. An appropriate vacancy is the next available position for which the employee is interested and fully qualified qualified, including identical Selective Placement Factors, and which is at the same grade level and has the same or less promotion potential as the one for which proper consideration was not given. The position is within the area of consideration as that of the vacancy originally applied for.
