Common use of Alternatives Analysis Clause in Contracts

Alternatives Analysis. The alternatives analysis included seven alternatives, including the no- action alternative, for achieving the stated Cleanup Objectives. The alternatives selected for consideration were pre-screened for general appropriateness in addressing the site-specific environmental issues, including the type of COCs and the type and extent of impacted media. The analysis was comprised of four primary factors – technical effectiveness, treatment time, cost, and impact to present and planned site uses. The technical effectiveness criterion took into account the treatment mechanism, implementation, and practicability for the site-specific conditions.
