Alternative Evaluation. The District and FCEA share the belief that offering alternatives to the traditional evaluation system will improve instructional practices by promoting the professional growth of experienced teachers.
Alternative Evaluation. The District and the Chico Unified Teachers Association (CUTA) share the belief that offering alternatives to the traditional evaluation system will improve excellence in instruction by promoting the professional growth of experienced teachers.
Alternative Evaluation. 6.4.1 The alternative teacher evaluation process is designed to increase opportunities for professional growth available to the District's tenured teaching staff. It serves as an alternative to the traditional performance evaluation process to encourage accomplished teachers to continue their professional development and personal growth. The evaluation options provide flexibility, permitting teachers to grow in self-chosen areas of interest.
Alternative Evaluation. This program is designed for teachers with a minimum of five years of service in the district who submit a proposal for an alternative evaluation project to their respective site administrator for consideration in lieu of classroom observations.
Alternative Evaluation. 11 1. In lieu of Standard Evaluation, an Eligible Teacher may elect one of 12 the Alternative Evaluation Methods approved by the District and the 13 Association. The specific protocols and requirements for each Alternative 14 Evaluation Method shall be established by the District and the Association.

A mutually agreed upon alternative professional growth plan or project Alternative Evaluation- Permanent on-cycle unit members may participate in an alternative evaluation in lieu of a traditional evaluation with the approval of the principal. Participating unit members must complete the Alternative Evaluation Form and obtain the principal’s approval and signature on the Alternative Evaluation Form by October 15th.

A procedure which provides an alternative to the Formal Observation and/or the ongoing assessment of Standards for the Teaching Profession through the use of alternative evaluation. For non-teaching staff, an alternative and established procedure may be utilized upon mutual agreement between the unit member and supervisor. Certificated Contract
Alternative Evaluation. A process designed to encourage creativity and innovation in support of instruction and professional growth. The process offers to unit members an alternative to the standard evaluation process when they have demonstrated effective performance of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession and the California Content Standards. The process is flexible in order to encourage unit members to grow in areas of interest that promote and relate to student learning and instructional leadership through individual or group efforts. The goals, objectives, projects, and criteria established under alternative evaluation serve as the certificated employee performance evaluation. The process is structured to strengthen cooperative collegial relationships.
Alternative Evaluation. A. “Alternative Evaluation” may be selected by permanent status unit members who have successfully completed at least two (2) cycles of evaluation as permanent unit members. Mutual consent of the evaluator and the unit member is required to select alternative evaluation as an option. If the unit member and evaluator fail to reach mutual agreement regarding the selection of the alternative evaluation process, the standard evaluation process shall be used.
