Common use of ALTERNATE WORK Clause in Contracts

ALTERNATE WORK. (Other than Alcohol/Controlled Substance) When an employee, in any job classification requiring driving, has lost their license under this Article they shall be afforded the oppor- tunity to displace junior, one (1) full-time or two (2) part-time, in- side employees, until they can return to their driving job, not to exceed two (2) years, unless provided for otherwise in the Supple- ments, Riders or Addenda. The employee shall receive the appro- priate rate of pay for the job performed based on their seniority. Coverage for benefits shall continue for the length of the leave of absence or for the job duration, up to two (2) years.
