ALLOWABLE NECESSITY. Any leave in which the bargaining unit member remains in a paid status; such leave can include, but not be limited to , a doctor’s authorized medical leave, pregnancy disability leave, catastrophic leave, bereavement leave, jury duty, personal leave, personal necessity, and industrial accident leave. In addition to the above mentioned leaves, a call to active military service falls under the definition of Allowable Necessity.
