Summary The Contractor shall provide advice as and when requested in respect of issues relating to rates, land and property taxes/charges (including service charges). This may take the form of a negotiation or through professional support/representation at local land tribunals. Key services: - Agree strategy, objectives and future operational requirements - Review all contracts, leases and associated legal documentation - Inspect and survey property - Undertake market research, comparables and data gathering - Compile initial report with details of appropriate rating levels, recommended tactics, projected rates and estimated timing - Undertake negotiations with appropriate local bodies, Landlord or Tenants eg. rating appeals - Provide periodic progress reports - Seek to reach agreement on appropriate new rating assessment and levels - Provide comprehensive final report to support a recommendation on settlement terms - Supervise completion of the process via agreed FCO approval process and signatories - Ad hoc/General rating advice including advice on local rating list
