Adjustments for Company Service. As a part of each periodic retention index review, and 23 immediately following completion of the distribution procedure set forth in 8.4(d), adjusted retention 24 ratings will be assigned in compliance with the following: 25 • Employees with twenty (20) or more years of Company service whose assigned retention 27 rating is R3 will be given an adjusted retention rating of R2. 28 • Employees with thirty (30) or more years of Company service whose assigned retention rating 30 is R2 will be given an adjusted retention rating of R1. Such adjustments will be reflected 31 in the written notification to each employee described in 8.4(g). (Employees who reach the 32 aforementioned Company service dates between periodic retention index reviews will receive 33 an adjusted retention rating accordingly.) 34 • Employees may elect to temporarily waive any service adjustment by sending a digitally signed 36 email to their Skill Captain stating their desire to waive their adjusted rating.
