Additional General Provisions. 1. An employee returning from an extended leave of absence shall be assigned to the same position held at the time the leave commenced or, if that position is no longer available, to a substantially equivalent position subject to an existing vacancy. 2. All requests for extended leave under this provision shall be submitted in writing to the Extended Leaves Office in the Human Resources Department.
