Acting Time Restrictions a. On any one engine or aerial device, the Driver’s and the Officer's positions will not be filled simultaneously by acting Members. b. When the Battalion Chief's position is being filled by an acting Member, the Captain's position on the front-line engine at headquarters will not be filled concurrently by an acting Member. c. For normal shift assignments, there will be no acting time on a front- line fire engine or truck if only one person is assigned to it. d. This Agreement is not intended to prohibit variances from the requirements in emergency situations where the policies cannot be expeditiously implemented.
