Common use of Accounts for Minors Clause in Contracts

Accounts for Minors. The Credit Union may make payments of funds directly to the minor without regard to his or her minority unless the Credit Union has received written notice from the minor owner’s custodial parent or guardian to withhold payment from the minor and the Credit Union has had a reasonable opportunity to act on the notice. Unless a guardian is an account owner, the guardian shall not have any right to access the account. The Credit Union has no duty to inquire of the use or purpose of any transaction by the minor or joint account owner.
