Accounting Data Clause Samples

The "Accounting Data" clause defines the requirements and procedures for maintaining, providing, or accessing financial records relevant to the agreement. Typically, this clause specifies what types of accounting information must be kept, the format in which records should be maintained, and the circumstances under which one party may request to review or audit these records. For example, it may require a contractor to keep detailed expense reports or allow a client to inspect invoices and receipts related to billed services. The core function of this clause is to ensure transparency and accountability in financial dealings between the parties, reducing the risk of disputes over payments or costs.
