Common use of Access to Designated Record Sets Clause in Contracts

Access to Designated Record Sets. To the extent that Business Associate possesses or maintains PHI in a Designated Record Set, Business Associate agrees to provide access, at the request of Covered Entity, and in the time and manner reasonably requested by Covered Entity, to PHI in a Designated Record Set, to Covered Entity or, as directed by Covered Entity, to those individuals who are the subject of the PHI (or their designees) in order to meet the requirements under 45 CFR 164.524. Business Associate shall make such information available in an electronic format where directed by Covered Entity.
