ACCESS TO AGGREGATE DATA Clause Samples

The "Access to Aggregate Data" clause defines the rights and limitations regarding a party’s ability to view and use data that has been compiled and anonymized from individual records. Typically, this clause allows one or both parties to access summary information derived from larger datasets, such as usage statistics or performance metrics, without revealing any personally identifiable information. Its core function is to enable the use of valuable insights for analysis, reporting, or improvement purposes while protecting individual privacy and maintaining data confidentiality.
ACCESS TO AGGREGATE DATA. Access to the aggregate data for research purposes may be granted to interested persons, provided the intended use is a legitimate, non-commercial one, and the researcher is qualified and agrees to acknowledge ownership of the data by participating universities and provide the consortium with a copy of any report or publication that is produced. Decisions on such requests will be made by the CUSC/CCREU Board of Directors in consultation with members of the consortium (all participating institutions) in the case of requests that seem problematic.
