Aboriginal Heritage Clause Samples

The Aboriginal Heritage clause is designed to protect and manage sites, objects, or areas of cultural significance to Aboriginal peoples within the scope of an agreement or project. It typically requires parties to identify, respect, and avoid disturbing any Aboriginal heritage sites, and may mandate consultation with relevant Indigenous groups or authorities if such heritage is discovered during activities. This clause ensures compliance with heritage protection laws and helps prevent inadvertent damage or legal disputes, thereby safeguarding culturally important sites and fostering respectful engagement with Indigenous communities.
