A General Statement. Rutgers and the Unions agree to the importance of a safe and healthy work environment and to strategically work together to improve health and safety. The University shall act in compliance with NJSA 34:6A-33 and shall furnish to each of their employees with employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death, serious injury or physical harm to their employees.
