6 MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES. 6.01 It is the exclusive function of the Employer to manage, which function without limiting the generality of the foregoing; includes the right to determine employment; appointment; complement; organization; work methods and procedures; kinds and location of equipment; discipline and termination of employment; assignment; classification; job evaluation system; merit system; training and development; appraisal; and the principles and standards governing promotion, demotion, transfers, layoff, and re-appointment. 6.02 All the functions, rights, powers, and authority which the Employer has not specifically abridged, deleted, or modified by this Agreement are recognized by the Union as being retained by the Employer. 6.03 Subject to relevant legislative requirement for employees and the Union, it is the exclusive function of the Employer to enforce safety and other regulations. 6.04 The Employer agrees that management rights will not be exercised in a discriminatory or inconsistent manner.
