Proofreading. An hourly rate is charged for proofreading and editing work. The price stated in the price quotation is a tentative estimate, based on the original text. The ultimate cost of the correction is determined by the number of hours actually spent working on the text. If the number of hours spent during the editing process substantially exceeds the price quotation and the estimated number of hours, Linguapolis will contact the client as soon as possible. An additional fee may be charged for proofreading jobs that need to be completed within two working days for which no prior arrangements were made. This always happens in consultation with the client. Under certain conditions, a volume discount may be applied to proofreading jobs of more than 25,000 words. If the text is made available later than agreed, the agreed-upon timing for the project will be revised. In most cases, minor changes based on feedback from the client after completion of a translation are made at no charge. A surcharge may be charged for proofreading other file formats (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) or non- editable documents (e.g. pdf, screenshots).
