ZONE AE definition

ZONE AE means the flood insurance rate zone that corresponds to the one-percent annual chance floodplains. In most instances, whole-foot base flood elevations derived from the detailed hydraulic analyses are shown at selected intervals within this zone. (Section 16.16.020.MMM of the Monterey County Code)
ZONE AE means area of special flood hazard with water surface elevations determined.

Examples of ZONE AE in a sentence

  • For a FEMA Flood Zone AE (as defined in the TxDOT Hydraulic Design Manual), the ENGINEER shall obtain a zero rise in the water surface profile, beyond the right of way line, unless otherwise approved by the State.

  • For Zone A and Zone AE stream crossings, the ENGINEER shall create a proposed hydrological model by updating the effective or current hydrologic model to account for the proposed project changes.

  • For Zone AE stream crossings, the ENGINEER shall review the effective hydrological model for recent changes in development and update to a current effective model if necessary.
