Pistol means any firearm with a barrel less than sixteen inches in length, or is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand.
SADC means the Southern African Development Community;
Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;
ALI means a feature by which the service address associated with the calling party’s listed telephone number identified by ANI as defined herein, is forwarded to the PSAP for display. Additional telephones with the same number as the calling party’s, including secondary locations and off-premise extensions will be identified with the service address of the calling party’s listed number.
IMRO means the Irish Music Rights Organisation CLG.
Tabarru’ means donation for the purpose of solidarity and cooperation among the Takaful Participants and to be used to help all Takaful Participants in times of misfortune. In the context of the Company, Tabarru’ will be allocated into the Participants’ Risk Fund.
Nematode means invertebrate animals of the phylum nemathelminthes, and class nematoda, i.e., unsegmented round worms with elongated, fusiform, or saclike bodies covered with cuticle, and inhabiting soil, water, plants, or plant parts, may also be called nemas or eelworms.
SUVA means Specific Ultraviolet Absorption at 254 nanometers (nm), an indicator of the humic content of a water. It is calculated by dividing a sample’s ultraviolet absorption at a wavelength of 254 nm (UV254) (in m-1) by its concentration of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) (in mg/L).
SBD means Standard Bidding Documents.
Bioassay means the determination of kinds, quantities or concentrations and, in some cases, the locations of radioactive material in the human body, whether by direct measurement, in vivo counting, or by analysis and evaluation of materials excreted or removed from the human body. For purposes of these rules, “radiobioassay” is an equivalent term.
Salmonid means of, belonging to, or characteristic of the family Salmonidae, which includes the salmon, trout, and whitefish.
SUD means Substance Use Disorder and refers to a condition in which the use of one or more substances leads to a clinically significant impairment or distress per the latest DSM.
sugar means the organic compound glucose, fructose, xylose, arabinose, lactose, sucrose, starch, cellulose, or hemicellulose.
Sukuk means a type of Islamic bond that is backed by assets of the issuer that earn profit or rent.
Poppy straw means all parts, except the seeds, of the opium poppy, after mowing.
CBOD5 means five day carbonaceous (nitrification inhibited) biochemical oxygen demand measured in an unfiltered sample;
PIR means Problem Identification Report.
We/Our/Us means the Underwriters named in the Schedule.
cultivar means a variety of plant that has originated and persisted under cultivation or was specifically bred for the purpose of cultivation;
LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;
Parade means any procession or body of pedestrians, except members of the Armed Forces, numbering more than 30, standing, marching or walking on any street or sidewalk, or any group of vehicles numbering ten or more, except funeral processions, standing or moving on any street;
MVAR means megavolt ampere of reactive power.
coronavirus means severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2);
Study Centre means a centre established and maintained or recognized by the University for the purpose of advising, counselling or for rendering any other assistance required by the students in the context of distance education;
Façade means the principal front or fronts of a building.
BEO means a written order issued by the Contractor to the Judicial Council that confirms the Judicial Council’s specific instructions and orders with respect to the Program on any one or more of the following, but does not alter any of the Agreement’s terms and conditions: (i) meeting and/or function room(s) and set-up requirements and/or rental charges; (ii) meal menus and prices and set-up requirements; and/or (iii) audio-visual equipment and set-up requirements and/or rental charges. BEO’s will be approved and signed by the Judicial Council’s representative, as set forth in Exhibit B.
