Capilano University and the Town of Gibsons share similar interests, concerns, and goals in the valuing learning and how learning contributes positively to individual and communities on the Sunshine Coast, this MOU is established in the interest of collaboration, mutual benefit and interest, specifically: • Assigning Capilano University course-based credit to high school students participating as Youth Representative on Council in Gibsons in accordance with the position’s current Terms of Reference.

The university affirms that the details of the Youth Representative Terms of Reference indicate the learning, experiences and time commitments are equivalent to six course credits.
