Worksite Coordinator definition
Worksite Coordinator means a competent person designated to oversee and direct, on behalf of the Prime Contractor, the activities of Employers, Workers and Self-employed Persons at the required Worksite. The Worksite Coordinator is the person authorized to halt a construction activity in circumstances where, in the person’s judgement, the construction activity is not being conducted in accordance with MIPL Construction Safety Manual or is creating a hazard to anyone at the construction site. The Worksite Coordinator must have sufficient expertise, knowledge and training to competently carry out the obligations set out in the Worksite Coordinator Compliance Checklist herein. “Worksite” means an area at a Place of Employment where a Worker works or is required or permitted to be present.
