Working Chargehand definition
Working Chargehand vacancies will be awarded on the basis of abilities and qualifications. If two (2) or more applicants are relatively equal according to the other criteria, then the employee with the greatest applicable seniority shall be awarded the job.
Working Chargehand. An employee assigned to instruct and supervise others in the safe performance of their work, and held responsible for the quality and quantity of the work. The Working Chargehand will not be responsible for hiring or firing any employee, or for issuing written reprimands or suspensions.
Working Chargehand means an employee who is in charge of no more than a five (5) person crew and must have been a Journeyman for a period of two years or more. Every effort will be made to have Local 1928 IBEW members become working chargehands.
