Work stoppage means a concerted failure by employees to report for duty, a concerted absence of employees from work, a concerted stoppage of work, or a concerted slowdown in the full and faithful performance of duties by a group of employees. The officers of MSEA-SEIU, at all levels individually and collectively, agree that it is their continuing obligation and responsibility to maintain compliance with this Article, including the remaining at work during any interruption or slowdown of work which may take place.
Labour means worker employed by the Corporation’s contractor directly or indirectly through a subcontractor or other persons or by an agent on his behalf on a payment not exceeding Rs.400/- per month and will not include supervisory staff like Overseers etc.
Work means all required labor, articles, materials, supplies, goods, and services constituting the subject matter of this Contract.
tidal work means so much of any work authorised by this Order as is on, under or over tidal waters or tidal lands below the level of high water;
Labor means laborers, mechanics, and other employees below the rank of supervisor, directly employed at the Site of the Work subject to the Manager or their designee’s authority to determine what employees of any category are “required for Extra Work” and as to the portion of their time allotted to Extra Work; and “cost of labor” means the wages actually paid to and received by such employees plus a proper proportion of (a) vacation allowances and union dues and assessments which the employer actually pays pursuant to contractual obligation upon the basis of such wages, and (b) taxes actually paid by the employer pursuant to law upon the basis of such wages and workers’ compensation premiums paid pursuant to law. “Employees” as used above means only the employees of one employer.
audiovisual work means a work that consists of a series of related images which impart the impression of motion, with or without accompanying sounds, susceptible of being made visible and, where accompanied by sounds, susceptible of being made audible;
Strike means any organized and legally sanctioned labor disagreement resulting in a stoppage of work: (a) as a result of a combined effort of workers which was unannounced and unpublished at the time travel services were purchased; and (b) which interferes with the normal departure and arrival of a Common Carrier.
Counterfeit Work means Work that is or contains unlawful or unauthorized reproductions, substitutions, or alterations that have been knowingly mismarked, misidentified, or otherwise misrepresented to be an authentic, unmodified part from the original manufacturer, or a source with the express written authority of the original manufacturer or current design activity, including an authorized aftermarket manufacturer. Unlawful or unauthorized substitution includes used Work represented as new, or the false identification of grade, serial number, lot number, date code, or performance characteristics. "Suspect Counterfeit Work" means Work for which credible evidence (including, but not limited to, visual inspection or testing) provides reasonable doubt that the Work part is authentic.
Enslavement means the exercise of any or all of the powers attaching to the right of ownership over a person and includes the exercise of such power in the course of trafficking in persons, in particular women and children;

Work or Works means all or any of the items of the work for which the Tenderer / Contractor has tendered / contracted according to the specification, and annexures hereto annexed or to be implied there from or incidental thereto or to be hereafter specified or required in such explanatory instructions being in conformity with the original specifications, annexures and schedules and also such instructions additional to the aforementioned as may from time to time be issued by the Director General RDSO through Executive Director (Testing) & Director Testing/Labs during the progress of the contracted work.
Boycott means engaging in a refusal to deal, terminating business activities or performing other actions that are intended to limit commercial relations with Israel or with persons or entities doing business in Israel or in territories controlled by Israel, if those actions are taken either:
The Work means each and every activity required for the successful performance of the services described in Section II, the Terms of Reference.
lockout shall bear the meaning given them in the Ontario Labour Relations Act.
aerial work means an aircraft operation in which an aircraft is used for specialised services such as agriculture, construction, photography, surveying, observation and patrol, search and rescue, and aerial advertisement;
Sabotage means deliberate damage, with malevolent intent, to a Category 1 or Category 2 quantity of radioactive material, a device that contains a Category 1 or Category 2 quantity of radioactive material, or the components of the security system.
drainage work means the construction or reconstruction of a drainage installation or the alteration of or addition to a drainage installation, or any work done in connection with a drainage installation, but does not include any work undertaken solely for repair or maintenance purposes;
Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
Work/ works means work / works to be executed in accordance with the contract.
A grievance means a dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation or application of any term or terms of any contract required under Minnesota Statutes § 179A.21 Subd. 1.
Major Work means any Work to Construct or Maintain the Distribution System that costs more than One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars;
job work means any treatment or process undertaken by a person on goods belonging to another registered person and the expression “job worker” shall be construed accordingly;
Telework means the performance of normal and regular work functions on a workday at a location
a work means the outcome of building or civil engineering works taken as a whole which is sufficient in itself to fulfil an economic or technical function;
Collective Bargaining Agreements shall have the meaning provided in Section 5.05.
Work Site or “Site” means the area or areas on or about the City’s property where the Work is to be carried out.
