Work-relief definition

Work-relief means public relief given in the form of public funds or goods, on the basis of the budgetary needs of the work-relief employee and his dependents, in exchange for any service or labor rendered on or in connection with any public relief employment.
Work-relief means any moneys paid to dependent persons entitled to general relief who have been required by any general relief agency to work on any work relief project.

  • The Work means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.

  • Work release means a program of partial confinement

  • Work crew means a program of partial confinement

  • Work stoppage means a concerted failure by employees to report for duty, a concerted absence of employees from work, a concerted stoppage of work, or a concerted slowdown in the full and faithful performance of duties by a group of employees. The officers of MSEA-SEIU, at all levels individually and collectively, agree that it is their continuing obligation and responsibility to maintain compliance with this Article, including the remaining at work during any interruption or slowdown of work which may take place.

  • Landlord Work means the work, if any, that Landlord is obligated to perform in the Premises pursuant to a separate agreement (the “Work Letter”), if any, attached to this Lease as Exhibit C.
