Wire rope definition

Wire rope means flexible steel or synthetic strands that are twisted or braided together and may surround a hemp or wire core.
Wire rope means metal in the form of a flexible thread or slender rod and/or a rope formed wholly or chiefly of wires.
Wire rope means a flexible rope constructed by laying steel wires into various patterns of multi-wired strands around a core system to produce a helically wound rope.
