Wilderness Areas definition

Wilderness Areas means those parts of a National Forest which are designated units of the National Wilderness Preservation System by the Wilderness Act of September 3, 1964, and such other areas of the National Forest system as are added to the wilderness system by act of Congress.
Wilderness Areas means component areas of the system as described in Section 5093.33, 5093.34, or 5093.345.

  • The Reconnaissance Group is responsible for coordinating surveys that occur in habitat for threatened or endangered species in the National Marine Sanctuary, Congressionally Designated Wilderness Areas, or State Parks.
