Weather Day definition

Weather Day means a workday on which restrictions imposed on the performance of the work by weather that so interferes with the prosecution of the work as to be deemed by the Commissioner an event beyond the reasonable control of the Contractor.

Examples of Weather Day in a sentence

  • For purposes of any claim for delay based on Inclement Weather, each Inclement Weather Day claimed shall constitute a separate occurrence and the Contractor shall comply with the foregoing claim submittal requirements for each Day of Inclement Weather claimed.

  • Employees Who Report for Work Before an Inclement Weather Day is Called In the event that school is closed after a bus driver or bus aide has reported for work, the employee will be paid for all hours worked, and the provisions of paragraph B will apply, provided, however, that in no event will an employee be paid an amount greater than what he/she would have been paid for his/her regular run(s) for the day.

  • An employee on sick leave (before and after) Weather Day will utilize a sick day on a Weather Day.

  • When the Superintendent calls an Inclement Weather Day, employees will be paid for four (4) days if the school days are not required to be made up at the end of the year.

  • If an Inclement Weather Day is not declared by the University, staff members receiving permission from his/her department head/designee not to report to work due to weather conditions shall utilize accrued benefit time (i.e. vacation time, float holiday) other than sick time or if no accrued benefit time is available, shall result in a loss of pay for the day(s).

  • When the Superintendent calls an Inclement Weather Day, employees will be paid for five (5) days if the school days are not required to be made up at the end of the year.

  • Building Projects - If inclement weather impacts any portion of the project such that the project completion date is delayed (regardless of whether work is being performed on any other scheduled portion of the project during that time), then that day shall be deemed an Inclement Weather Day or Rain Day.

  • Should the University declare an Inclement Weather Day all Security Officers or Security Dispatchers who have been scheduled to work, are already at work, or directed to report to work, must report to work or remain at work.
