Wayfinding definition

Wayfinding as used in this Ordinance shall mean sSigns with maps or other graphics used to convey location and directions to travelers, and not used for any advertising purpose.
Wayfinding means strategies used by people to find their way in both new and familiar settings, incorporating perceptual and cognitive reactions to architectural, graphic, visual, aural and tactile elements present in the environment.
Wayfinding means the process of using spatial and environmental information, including civic numbers and street name signs, to move successfully and intentionally from one location to another. (orientation)

  • Way-finding and signage plans with legends and/or schedules cross-referenced to details.
