Warlike definition

Warlike operations means hostilities, mutiny, riot, civil commotion, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, conspiracy, military or usurped power and martial law or state of siege.

  • The Seafarer shall also be paid a bonus equal to 100% of the basic wage for the durations of the ship’s stay in a Warlike Operations area – subject to a minimum of 5 days pay.

  • If the vessel enters a Warlike Operations area: The Seafarer shall have the right not to proceed to such area.

Related to Warlike

  • Sabotage means deliberate damage, with malevolent intent, to a category 1 or category 2 quantity of radioactive material, a device that contains a category 1 or category 2 quantity of radioactive material, or the components of the security system.

  • War means war, whether declared or not, or any warlike activities, including use of military force by any sovereign nation to achieve economic, geographic, nationalistic, political, racial, religious or other ends.

  • Pandemic means any outbreaks, epidemics or pandemics relating to SARS-CoV-2 or Covid-19, or any variants, evolutions or mutations thereof, or any other viruses (including influenza), and the governmental and other responses thereto.

  • Epidemic means a sudden development and rapid spreading of a contagious disease or illness in an area as documented by a recognized public health authority.

  • Landslide means episodic down slope movement of a mass of soil or rock that includes, but is not limited to, rock falls, slumps, mudflows, and earth flows.
