Warehouse Worker Level 2 definition

Warehouse Worker Level 2 means an employee who performs work above and beyond the skills of a Warehouse Worker Level 1 and to the appropriate level of the employee's training, including appropriate certification for this level. (1) works from complex instructions and procedures and exercises discretion within the limits of the employee's skills; (2) co-ordinates work in a team environment or works individually under general supervision; (3) is responsible for the quality of the employee's own work. Indicative of the tasks and skills which an employee at this level may perform or have are the following: • inventory and store control, including; • the licensed operation of all materials handling equipment; • the use of tools and equipment within the scope of basic non-trades maintenance; • VDU operation at a level higher than that of a Warehouse Worker Level 1; • the use of measuring equipment and scales. Promotional criteria - An employee remains at this level until the employee has been assessed or appropriately certified to be capable of performing effectively the tasks required by this function to enable the employee to progress to the next level when a position becomes available.
