Warehouse operator definition

Warehouse operator means a person engaged in the business of operating or controlling a warehouse for the storing, shipping, handling or processing of agricultural products, but does not include an incidental warehouse operator.
Warehouse operator means a person that operates a facility or group of facilities in which grain is or may be stored for hire or which is used for grain bank storage and which is operated under one (1) ownership and run from a single office.

  • A Warehouse Operator who fails to comply with the provisions of section 35 of this Act is liable for failure to deliver goods to a person who acquires in good faith, a lost, stolen or destroyed Warehouse Receipt without notice that a duplicate receipt has been issued or goods already delivered and liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term of not less than one year.

  • A licensed Warehouse Operator may be considered for pioneer status in accordance with the provision of the Nigerian Investments Promotion Commission Act.
