If applicable and consistent with the cited statutory authority for this NOFO, applicant entities are encouraged to collaborate with and support their jurisdiction’s vital records office (VRO) to improve vital records data timeliness, quality and access, and to advance public health goals.

VROs not for persons in family relationship A court is not to make a VRO unless it is satisfied that the person seeking to be protected by the order and the person bound by the order are not in a family relationship with each other.
