Voluntary Reassignment definition

Voluntary Reassignment is when an employee accepts a different position where the maximum rate of pay is less than his/her present rate of pay.
Voluntary Reassignment means placement in another department (grades 7-12 or departmentalized settings), track, or grade level (grades K-6 or self-contained setting other than special education) at the same location with the certificated employee’s agreement.
Voluntary Reassignment is a reassignment initiated by a teacher.

Examples of Voluntary Reassignment in a sentence

  • A teacher wishing to be reassigned during the summer must submit a Request for Voluntary Reassignment (see Appendix C) in writing by the last day of school.

  • Voluntary Reassignment or Transfer – A reassignment or transfer that is requested by the unit member or is agreed upon by both the unit member and the District.

  • If one (1) or more Probation Officers within the supervisor’s work unit desire reassignment to the vacancy, the vacancy shall be filled in the manner provided in subsection 20.2 (Voluntary Reassignment – Probation Officers) paragraph E subparagraph 1 below.

  • Except during the polling process described in subsection 20.2 (Voluntary Reassignment – Probation Officers) paragraph B subparagraph 2 (Notice Through Pre-Posting Polling) above, employees interested in a Probation Officer position shall submit a written request/email to the Personnel Clerk identifying his or her interest in the posted position before the position closes.

  • However, if the Department considers candidates with less than the required time in an assignment pursuant to subsection 20.2 (Voluntary Reassignment – Probation Officers) paragraph E (Order of Candidate Consideration) subparagraph 2 above the needs of the Department will be the primary factor.

  • If a Probation Officer vacancy is not filled through polling as described in Subsection 20.2 (Voluntary Reassignment – Probation Officers) paragraph B subparagraph 2 (Pre-Posting Polling) above, and after department-wide posting there are less than five (5) eligible applicants for a Probation Officer position, the Department may consider all candidates with less than the required time in an assignment, who have applied.

  • Selection procedures and criteria shall be as provided in subsection 20.1 (Voluntary Reassignment – Juvenile Institution Officers) paragraphs F (Interviews and Withdrawal) and G (Selection Criteria for Juvenile Institution Officer Vacancies) below.

  • If, during polling conducted pursuant to Section 20.2 (Voluntary Reassignment – Probation Officers) paragraph B subparagraph 2 (Notice Through Pre-Posting Polling) above, a Probation Officer in the unit containing the vacancy expresses to his or her Supervisor a desire for the vacancy, he or she shall be granted the reassignment unless more than one Probation Officer in the Unit desires the vacancy.

  • Once it is determined that a vacancy shall be filled, the site administrator may implement the provisions of paragraph C (Involuntary Reassignment) and D (Voluntary Reassignment) by filling the immediate vacancy with appropriate site personnel.

More Definitions of Voluntary Reassignment

Voluntary Reassignment means a reassignment requested by a bargaining unit member from an assigned classification within an employee category at a campus operated by the Employer to a different classification within the same employee category at the same campus. An “Involuntary Reassignment” shall mean a reassignment made in the same manner at the sole discretion of the Employer.
Voluntary Reassignment refers to the movement of a unit member to another subject area, one grade level to another grade level or one configuration to another (i.e., grade level shifts, team teaching, self-contained to a departmentalized assignment, or other configuration) within the same school site.
