Visiting Lecturer definition

Visiting Lecturer means a person with qualifications provided under Part 1 subsection 3.2.2, and appointed by Senate in accordance with these Guidelines.
Visiting Lecturer means a person who is employed either on a full-time or part-time basis to lecture on and administer courses that are provided by the Licensee;

Examples of Visiting Lecturer in a sentence

  • Employees will be placed on a seniority list if employed at the College in the bargaining unit after December 31, 1980, and if so placed, all prior bargaining unit service (calculated in accordance with Section 2 above) will be credited; provided, however, that an Employee may earn seniority units on more than one (1) list and provided, further, that seniority units earned as a Visiting Lecturer will also be counted on the adjunct list, but not vice versa.

  • If the said senior unassigned person on the department Visiting Lecturer seniority list is not qualified or is otherwise unavailable to accept the Visiting Lecturer assignment described in this paragraph, said Visiting Lecturer position shall be offered in seniority order to others on the department seniority list until the department Visiting Lecturer seniority list is exhausted or until the position is filled.

  • In each year of the contract, the minimum Academic Year Visiting Lecturer annual base salary shall equal the minimum Rank V 24 credit/ 30 contact hour salary in the Full-Time Collective Faculty Bargaining Agreement, with the exception of Studio Art where the base salary shall be equal to the minimum Rank V 30 credit/ 36 contact hour salary in the Full-Time agreement (because Studio Art Visiting Lecturers must work 18 contact hours per semester).

  • Building on pilot project of Courtauld Visiting Lecturer teaching art history to Year 12 & 13 students on their Foundation Course: new development, with pilot reaching 18 students completed March 2011.

  • The University reserves the right to make short-term appointments as Visiting Instructor, Visiting Lecturer, Visiting Assistant Professor (Librarian), Visiting Associate Professor (Librarian), or Visiting Professor (Librarian) in accordance with qualifications and ranks earned through review at a comparable regionally accredited four-year college or university (§§3.3.2.2, 3.9.2).

  • To the extent that the creation of a Visiting Lecturer position pursuant to this section results in the College exceeding the ratio under Article VIII Section O in the Full-time Agreement, the College shall receive credit for such sections in the next semester.

  • Subject to funding an IFCC Visiting Lecturer will be sent to EFCC member states at least once in every four years.

  • A Visiting Lecturer seniority unit granted by the method described in this section shall confer less seniority than a Visiting Lecturer seniority unit earned by actual instruction or other professional work as a Visiting Lecturer.

  • Except as provided for in the Full-time Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement, (e.g. Article IX A 1) credit for service as a Visiting Lecturer shall not be counted for any purpose under the Full-time Faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement; provided, however, that such service may be considered by the College in determining the appropriate rank to be assigned to the Employee.

  • FIRST: The Visiting Lecturer will offer the following conferences at the UPRH seminars on activities for the benefit of the university community or general public.
