Vessel shifting definition

Vessel shifting means relocation of a vessel within port waters from one berth (mooring facilities) to another assisted by a pilot and tug boats excluding shifting along a berth;

Examples of Vessel shifting in a sentence

  • All time and expenses used in the Vessel shifting from one anchorage or berth or place of cargo operations to another are for the Buyer’s account and will count as laytime, even if such Vessel shifting was ordered by the relevant authority at the discharge port.

  • If the Vessel must shift to and/or from such facilities, all time consumed by the Vessel shifting, as well as shifting expenses such as for tugs, mooring and pilots, shall be for Buyer’s account.

  • All other time and expenses used in the Vessel shifting from one anchorage or berth or place of cargo operations to another are for the Buyer’s account and will count as laytime, even if such Vessel shifting was ordered by the relevant authority at the discharge port.

  • If QIT exercises its option in the preceding sentence and Buyer's Vessel is not loaded in turn, QIT shall be liable for any demurrage due to delay incurred by such loading out of turn and the costs of Buyer's Vessel shifting to anchor and reberthing.

  • If the Vessel must shift to or from such facilities, all time consumed by the Vessel shifting, as well as shifting expenses such as for tugs, mooring and pilots, shall be for Buyer’s account.

  • Further, all expenses related to such refusal, including Vessel shifting expenses, shall be for Owner’s account.

  • If the Vessel must shift to or from such facilities, all time consumed by the Vessel shifting counts as used laytime or as time on demurrage, and shifting expenses (including costs for tugs, mooring and pilots) are for the account of the Terminal.

  • If the Vessel must shift to and/or from such facilities, all time consumed by the Vessel shifting, as well as shifting expenses such as for tugs, mooring, and pilots, shall be for Vessel Party’s account.

Related to Vessel shifting

  • Vessels shall have the meaning set forth in the recitals.

  • Vessel means every description of watercraft, other than a seaplane on the water, used or capable of being used as a means of transportation on water.

  • The Vessel means the vessel named in Box 5 and with particulars as stated in Boxes 6 to 12.

  • U.S.-flag vessel means a vessel of the United States or belonging to the United States, including any vessel registered or having national status under the laws of the United States.

  • Fleet Vessels means all of the vessels (including, but not limited to, the Ships) from time to time wholly owned by members of the Group (each a “Fleet Vessel”);
