VACATION BLOCK definition

VACATION BLOCK is defined as any five (5) consecutive days or the employee’s scheduled work days during the employers pay week (currently Saturday thru Friday).
VACATION BLOCK is a minimum of (5) five or more consecutive Bus Driver work days, exclusive of scheduled days off.
VACATION BLOCK means a contiguous number of vacation days. Any non-vacation day following a vacation day shall define the ending of a Vacation Block.

  • REGULAR PART TIME EMPLOYEES MAY REQUEST, AND THE EMPLOYER MAY AGREE, TO PROVIDE VACATION PAY FOR ALL UNSCHEDULED DAYS WITHIN THEIR APPROVED VACATION BLOCK UP TO FULL TIME HOURS, PROVIDED THE EMPLOYEE HAS SUFFICIENT VACATION HOURS ACCRUED IN THEIR BANK AT THE START OF THEIR APPROVED VACATION BLOCK.

  • EACH SUBSEQUENT YEAR OF THIS AGREEMENT, THE PRIORITY OF CHOICE SHALL SHIFT; FOR EXAMPLE IN THE SECOND YEAR OF THIS AGREEMENT EXCESS VACATION BLOCK REQUESTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE OPERATIONS DEPUTY BY EACH SHIFT AFTER COMPLETING THEIR ROTATIONAL VACATION PICKS FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR’S TOURS.
